Education

The things you're actually wondering.

Plain answers. No jargon. No pressure.

The Amana Method
How does The Amana Method actually work?

Four steps. Discover: we learn her style, your story, and your budget. Design: we turn that conversation into a custom concept created around her. Refine: you see the design — rendered, in front of you — and we adjust until it feels right. Create: your ring is handcrafted, inspected, and made ready for the moment.

What if the finished ring doesn't look like what we designed?

You approve the design before we craft a single thing. Not a sketch on a napkin — the ring, rendered, in front of you. We don't interpret your ring. We build the one you already said yes to.

What if she doesn't like it?

The process is engineered so she will. The ring isn't our guess — it's designed from her: her style, her hands, her Pinterest board, the details you tell us. And we stand behind the ring after the yes, not just until the sale.

I don't know her ring size. Is that a problem?

It almost never is. Most people don't. We'll show you a few quiet ways to find out, and if the size still isn't perfect on the day, we handle the resize.

Your budget
How much should I spend on an engagement ring?

The honest answer: what you're comfortable with. Forget the old salary rules — they were invented to sell rings, not to help you. Tell us your real number and we'll show you where it works hardest. A real budget isn't a limitation. It's the design brief.

Doesn't custom cost more than buying off the shelf?

Off the shelf, you pay for the shelf — the showcase, the markup, the middleman's guess. Custom means your budget is the blueprint. Every dollar goes into the ring instead of around it. That's not the expensive option. That's the efficient one.

Are lab-grown diamonds a smart choice?

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and optically identical to mined stones, at a meaningfully lower price. Neither choice is wrong. We'll walk you through the trade-offs plainly — resale, sentiment, size — and you decide what matters for her.

Timing & shipping
How long does a custom ring take?

It depends on the design — but here's what doesn't: the date comes first. Before we design, before you commit, we build the schedule backward from your moment. Nearly a thousand rings, and the moment has never had to wait for the ring.

I'm proposing soon. Is it too late for custom?

Tell us your date before you rule anything out. The Embrace — one of our favorite rings — was designed on a deadline and delivered to our client's hotel while he was already traveling. She said yes.

How does my ring ship?

Fully insured, in discreet packaging with no jewelry branding visible, and with a signature required on delivery. Nothing about the box gives the secret away. We've delivered to homes, offices, and — when a proposal couldn't wait — directly to a hotel. The full details are in our shipping policy.

Can you deliver while I'm traveling?

We have. Quickly and discreetly, directly to a hotel. If the moment is planned, we'll do everything possible to make sure the box is in your pocket when the knee hits the ground.

Meeting a designer
What happens when I meet a designer?

A conversation, not a sales pitch. We talk about her — her style, her hands, her life — and about your story, your date, and your budget. You'll leave knowing exactly what happens next, and nothing is committed in the room. Here's what the appointment looks like.

Do I have to commit to anything at the consultation?

No. The consultation is where you get certainty, not where you sign for it. You approve the design before we craft a thing, and we commit to your date before you commit a dollar.

Do I need to visit in person?

No. We design from South Florida for couples everywhere — The Embrace was designed for a client in Texas and delivered to his hotel. The conversation works just as well over a call, and the design is rendered in front of you either way.

What should I bring to the appointment?

Anything you'd show a friend: her Pinterest board, screenshots, a photo of jewelry she already wears. If you have none of that, bring the story. That's enough — it's where every Amana ring starts.

Quality & certification
How does the quality compare to a big-name jeweler?

The same certified stones and precious metals, reviewed by certified gemologists on our team. We're a member of the Jewelers Board of Trade. The difference isn't the materials — it's that nobody guessed on your behalf.

Will I get a certificate for the diamond?

Yes. Center stones come with their grading report, and we'll walk you through what it actually says — the 4 Cs in plain language, no jargon, no gatekeeping — so you know exactly what you're buying.
